Full-Time Garage Door Technician
The Garage Door Technician at Advanced Door, LC is to service and install garage doors and openers. In both residential and commercial applications, and help customers understand the basic functions and safety features of Advanced Door products. Understand your function as a team member to ensure our customers experience exceeds all expectations.
-Show up to work on time, with clean approved attire, good personal hygiene and be ready to work.
-Clean and maintain a clean, safe work area for you, other team members and customers.
-Clean, organize, and maintain the company issued truck, tools and equipment in your care.
-Assist in unloading, loading, organizing and keeping an inventory in the warehouse as well as on the company issued personal truck.
-Properly fill out all paper work prior to leaving each job, and inform the Operation Manager of problems or concerns of each job immediately.
-Service and install garage doors and operators according to proper industry procedures as well as Advanced Door company procedures.
-Help promote and represent Advanced Door on and off the “clock”. Sticker all doors and openers, use street signs and door hangers when applicable.
-Achieve total customer satisfaction.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math is required such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Very good knowledge of English both spoken and written. A desire and willingness for continual education with industry product and procedures.
Certification: All employees are required to complete the Advanced Installation Certification within the first three months of hire. As well as a desire to become an IDA certified technician.
Experience: Basic knowledge and experience working with hand tools and electrical tools such as drills, impact guns, and saws etc.
Physical: The Service Technician must be able and willing to drive, sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 100 lbs. Service Technicians work with tools and machinery overhead and on ladders frequently. A Service Technician must be comfortable in all these areas.
Mental: Able to work in team situations as well as independently. Self-motivated, driven with the ability to problem solve outside of the ordinary situation.
