Full-Time Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Description

Solely responsible to maintain the correctness and integrity of the accounting records of Alpine Orthopaedic Specialists, Alpine Associates, and Cache Valley Physicians.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

1. Accounts Payable – record vendor invoices and make payment thereto

2. Accounts Receivable – record and deposit checks received; prepare refund checks

3. Provide oversight to front desk cash collections

4. Physically deliver all cash and checks received to Logan bank(s)

5. Track and maintain daily cash balances available analysis

6. Reconcile weekly and monthly Bank statements

7. Reconcile monthly VISA statements

8. Prepare monthly Rent invoices for AAI tenants and distribute

9. Track CAM expenses for AAI properties

10. Prepare ER on Call invoices for hospital vendors and distribute proceeds therefrom to doctors

11. Prepare month-end closing entries to allocate expenses & income among owners

12. Distribute month end P&L’s to AOS owners

13. Prepare and distribute bi-monthly Owner draws

14. Prepare biweekly payroll for AOS employees

15. Prepare Quarterly Payroll Tax Returns

16. Maintain employee personnel records

17. Coordinate HR employee benefits for health, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K

18. Maintain all Corporate Accounting records – paper and digital versions

19. Provide year-end accounting data to outside accountant

20. Prepare year-end W-2’s and Form 1099’s

21. Provide accounting expertise to Practice Manager and Business Administrator as needed

Important Qualifications:

1. Trustworthiness – certifiable track record of prior successful employment in the accounting field

2. Accounting degree -with working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

3. Quickbooks – high level working knowledge of Quickbooks functions

4. Payroll – prior experience preparing in-house payroll

5. Excel – working knowledge of spreadsheet creation and revision functions

6. Outlook- general knowledge and experience with email and calendar functions

7. Human Resources – prior experience a plus
